#1 Increase your monthly retainer fee

If you’re already working with a client in the last 3, 6, 9, or 12 months. Sit down with them. Ask for an evaluation of your performance. If they like what they see. It will be easy to ask for a raise. Or you can increase your fee by 20-50% on your next client.

#2 Do a paid audit

You can audit a social media account, ads manager, email service provider, funnel, or website. And get paid from $250 to $500, depending on how much you want to charge. Two to three audits per month is already a good side hustle business and can easily become a good source of leads.

#3 Write copy

Copy is essential to your client’s business. You can offer to write copy on their social media, SMS, ads, podcast, and product description. You can even create a template for their support email. Sadly, many freelancers are not charging their clients for these extras.

You’re not a writer, you say? Leverage AI and then charge accordingly.

#4 Write a blog on your client’s website

Many clients know and understand what SEO can do for their businesses. And they also know publishing content can provide more value to their customers. But they’re not doing it. Some have an outdated blog page or, worst, no blog page at all. Pitch this to your current client if they don’t have one, or include this on your offer.

This is another area that business owners often need to address. So many websites have lousy About Us pages. If you’re an email marketer, offer writing About Us as your lead magnet instead of writing two emails or doing an account audit. Or offer a paid About Us write-up. I charge $50 - $100. Others I know are charging higher.

#6 Sell digital products

Create a step-by-step process. Then turn it into a PDF and sell it.

Yes, you can create email and SMS templates. Do social media or blog post templates. Or Lazada and Shopee store templates. Create frameworks and other consumable content or repeatable process. And sell them to business owners or fellow freelancers.

#8 Run an affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing allows you to earn commissions each time the person you refer makes a purchase or joined a program.
