Key Pointers To Unlock Your Email Marketing Success
10 essential tips to become a successful email marketer.
This article responds to two of the most common questions many aspiring email marketers ask.
Where do I begin?
How do I start?
The clear answer would be to start right now, right where you are.
Here are key pointers to help you in your journey to becoming a successful email marketer.
Trust yourself
If you trust yourself, people around you will trust you too. These people can then guide you or introduce you to the right people that will teach and answer your questions. These people can even refer you to clients. BTW, clients also know if you don't trust yourself that you can do the job.
Be honest with yourself
Working as an email marketer does not require the normal physical one on one setup. You will be working at your own pace on your terms unless you have a time tracker. No one will be monitoring you. Decide what you want to work on and what you want to finish first. Make sure you deliver on time - always.
Be willing to learn
It’s one of the fundamental aspects of being a freelancer. Always find ways to learn as much as possible in every situation you’re in. Everything can be acquired as long as you’re open to it. You can learn through courses, mentors or from other resources available.
Be prepared for rejections
You will encounter rejection from your loved ones, friends, colleagues, and clients. Embrace them. Learning how to accept and control your emotions when experiencing rejections. Will have an effect not just on yourself but on the people that you work with. Don’t block it. Allow yourself to experience setbacks. This is how you learn. Making mistakes is okay. Allow it to pass through you, and always strive to be the best at your work.
Connect with people
The most powerful thing to do. You are not alone. Do not isolate yourself. Learn how to collaborate. Expand your network.
When I was just a newbie in this industry, I did something not everyone in the freelance community did. I reached out to people doing great at what they do and learned from them.
Here's the result of one of those outreaches that I've done in the past:

Actively look for ways to market yourself
There is no magic or secret potion why some freelancers have multiple clients. This strategy is also taught in books, online courses, and resources scattered on the web. They all share different skills and approaches. But what matters is how you market yourself. Nothing beats a person who always shows up every day.
Love yourself
Always put yourself first in a way that you’re not taking advantage of anyone along the way. Give yourself the time, love, and space to do the work. Go out if you must. Your efforts will always be reflected in your relationships with yourself and with other people.
Read
Don’t stop reading. You can start with these books.
Master your ego
Freelancing is not about you. Give value. Everything will follow. Never assume without asking a question.
You are not limited
Keep an open mind in every sense of the word and continue learning because learning never ends. Don't settle.
That's it.
